Donald Trump Says Chicago Violence Could Be Stopped in 1 Week With Tougher Police Tactics

Donald Trump recently claimed that he had met with a “top” Chicago police officer. According to Trump, the officer told him that Chicago’s violence problem could be solved within a week with “tough police tactics.”
The Chicago Police Department has since denied Trump’s claim. NBC Chicago reports that, according to CPD spokesperson Frank Giancamilli, the claim was discredited months ago. He continued,
‘No one in the senior command at CPD has ever met with Donald Trump or a member of his campaign.’
Trump made his claims during an interview with Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly.
